Twitter is a free service that lets you keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

Besides social networking sites like facebook and orkut , twitter has its own space in web market.Its the famous website in all over world for throwing what your are doing right now to all your friends.

As per wikipedia,

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users’ updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers). Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow anybody to access them. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications. The service is free to use over the Internet, but using SMS may incur phone service provider fees.

But now a days twitter is not a tool to let your friends know what you are doing but also its a marketing tool for many websites.They make great followers.As they update status followers get an updateon their profile , so many bloggers use it.As they post new post twitter profile get a tweet.Their followers will get update and the blog will get huge hits.

So basically a tweet will give the blogger big money.
