Yesterday Facebook launched Facebook launched ‘Lists’ feature. It is the last feature, that was needed, to bring all features of Google+ to Facebook. This article will show you how to use Facebook lists efficiently to have more fun Facebooking.
What is ‘Facebook Lists’ ?
Facebook Lists is a new Facebook feature which lets you group your friends in various manner.
Is this a completely new feature in Facebook ?
No, before the launch of Lists almost similar feature named ‘Group friends/ Lists‘ was available in Facebook (read more). With Facebook lists Facebook changed its layout for better UI and also added some new features.
How similar is it with Google+ circles ?
It is almost similar to Google+ circles. Though, Facebook lists are smart. The script automates lists, you do not need to add friends manually. Also it gives you smarter suggestions.
What can I do with Facebook Lists ?
You can post update to a specific group of people with just a single click. Moreover, you can filter news feed easily.
What are the default lists provided by Facebook ?
By default, Facebook provides you a few lists to start with. Some of them are Close friends- Friends with whom you interact the most, Your School – Lists containing friends from same institute/school, Region/Area – People from your city, Job etc.
For example to get posts about what’s happening in the city or with people in the city, all you need to do is just a single click.
Though you are free to create your own list.
How to use Facebook Lists ?
Your default lists are shown in left sidebar on home page. Click on any list to get filtered news feed. You will get a new dedicated postbox for the List.
