Save yahoo avatar without installing any software

Saving someone’s photo/avatar from yahoo messenger is so easy.It can be done several ways without installing any software.Here are some of the easiest ways.

Method 1: Save avatar directly from yahoo server.

Visit below link after replacing yahoo id of which you want to save avatar/display image

http://img.msg.yahoo.com/avatar.php?yids=replace_yahoo_id_here

For e.g. http://img.msg.yahoo.com/avatar.php?yids=example_id

Method 2:Open chat window of the person.As you can see display picture press “Print Screen” button.

Go to Paint.( Shortcut:Start—>Run—> type mspaint )

Paste the image by CTRL+V

Crop the picture and save it.

Method 3: Navigate to below folder in My Folder.

C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Cache\Icon

Rename and .jpg extension to all files till you get desired avatar.This trick is useful when the person changes avatar and you want to get old avatar of a person.You may save up to last avatar of yahoo messenger.
