Videos in Youtube are flash videos in FLV player. To embed them in powerpoint we need them in WMV or AVI format.
But you can override this thing with some plugins/tools.Lets have a discussion on them.
If your presentation venue is having very good internet connection you can easily buffer the video from youtube, you should use one plugin called YouTube Wizard plug-in from skp.mvps.org and upon installation, this will add a new “Insert YouTube Video” command to your PowerPoint Toolbar.
This wizard will help you to insert a video in powerpoint and you need video url nothing else.Great thing is that you can resize or move the player anywhere in slide.
You can download the video from youtube and convert it to WMV or AVI format using any converter like Total video converter or super video converter(Freeware)
For downloading video you can use downloader like KPSofts downloader or use any download manager like IDM(Internet Download Manager)
After converting go to Insert –> Movie –> “Movie from file” to put the YouTube video in the current slide.
You can directly download the converted format video by using MediaConverter.org or Zamzar.com
These two sites let you convert and download without any charge.
You can use the second trick in any online video site.
