How to Delete Custom Status Message History From Yahoo Messenger

Yahoo Messenger stores your recent 5-6 status message in history.Here is trick to clear custom status messages on yahoo messenger. Sometime you may feel it is breaking privacy then you can follow below steps and you can clear the history.

Step 1: Go to Start –> Run. Type regedit and press enter.

Step 2: Navigate to below key.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\yahoo\pager\profiles\your username\Custom Msgs

Note: Replace your username with your yahoo id or profile id

Step 3: In data you will be able to see status message.Delete REG_SZ key by selecting the entry from name column.For example select 4_W and press delete.

Step 4: Now navigate to below key

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-746137067-448539723-839522115-1003\Software\yahoo\pager\profiles\your username\Custom Msgs

Repeat step 3

You have done it.Restart yahoo messenger if its running.
