Students of IIT Bombay presented an alternative technique for making efficient fuel from wastage.
The technique was efficient to give 1.7 times more efficient fuel than normal fuel. The module won first prize for Utkarsh event.
Shrinivas Rajaram, Parind Desai, Nishu Goyal, Sanmati Jain and Vishal have designed one fuel crusher and compressor that performs mentioned acts by consuming mechanical energy.
Parind says that “By compressing we are increasing the efficiency and portability of the fuel. It will be very useful in the villages where electricity is not present.”
The team says that “we are happy that we won the first prize and judges liked our idea, we will implement it practically.”
In the image raw material that will be used to make final fuel is shown.
