Bascule Bridge – Show your construction mind | IIT Bombay Techfest 2010 Live Blogging

In Techfest 2010 there is one event named Bascule Bridge making event, in which you have to make a bridge that can be opened as shown in above image. The bridge must be able to pass through 15 kgs of trolley without any damage.
One of the participant from R. K. NEC informed that the bridge will take the load on the hinges preventing breakdown of the bridge. The load will be distributed between the poles.
Sohil Kazi from MSU baroda told that “It took 15 days to make the bridge, it was made from popsicle sticks and adhesive only”
